Geo-grid scans: see your Google Maps rank, street by street
Google can show a different result at every search location. A grid scan measures your listing from many points around your business.
One location is not your whole neighbourhood
A strong rank at your door does not mean customers find you across town. A grid repeats the same keyword search at separate locations and records where your listing appears.
What the measurement represents
Local Radar uses Google Places text searches with a location bias at each grid point. This is a repeatable, neutral measurement, not a screenshot of one person’s Google Maps app. Personalisation and search time can produce different results.
Read the coverage, then the competitors
Top-3 coverage is the share of measured points where your listing ranks in the first three. Compare it with the rank at your door and competitors that appear repeatedly ahead of you.
A measured plan, not a guaranteed rank
Google describes relevance, distance and prominence as the main local ranking factors. Use a repeat scan to compare the effect of your changes. No position is guaranteed. See Google’s local ranking guidance.
